If you’re auction chair needing an inspirational lift, this might help.
I’ve undergone a lot of self-imposed personal transformation in my life. Though I’m hardly an expert in the subject, I’ve found it requires a lot of internal fortitude, self-confidence, and a darn near total disregard for what anyone else thinks or says about you to make changes.
None of that is easy.
That’s why I think it’s fabulous that Joyce Buford, a life coach in Tyler, TX, has a weekly live radio show focused on this subject. Each week on her show Second Wind, she asks women to share their own stories of transformation as a way to encourage and inspire others to live their own dreams.
Joyce heard me speak at a conference in Texas. She said, “I want you on my show!”
And I cautiously responded, “And what show might that be?”
When I learned the subject matter, I was happy to share.
She interviewed me this month (July 2014) asking me to document my own metamorphosis from working in marketing at General Electric to plus-size modeling in Europe to becoming an entrepreneur via Red Apple Auctions.
I’ve met many women in transition over the last five years and always love hearing those stories. If you’re in that space now, I think you’ll enjoy the program.
