Use bid stickers on paper silent auction bid sheets vs handwriting

Stickers aren’t just for kids.

If you’ve been struggling to read your bidders’ handwriting as you look at each silent auction bid sheet, today’s video tip will solve your pain.

This is an option for you if you’re running a silent auction using a single bid sheet.

If you’re running a traditional manual checkout process that relies on NCR / triplicate bid sheets, this isn’t practical.  Nor is it relevant if you’re using mobile bidding.

That’s one of the trickier aspects of giving advice on the auction checkout process.  Checkout has a lot of variables.

• If you’re only having a live auction, you’ll run checkout slightly different than a group that is running a silent auction, or a Fund a Need.
• If you have software, you’ll run it slightly different than a group that doesn’t have software.
• If you have mobile bidding, you’ll run it slightly different than a group that doesn’t.
• If you are not registering credit cards at registration, you’ll run checkout a bit differently than a group that does.

And so it goes.

So to recap, today’s tip works best for those of you running a software system so that you can get buy with single bid sheets on the table.
