Art can be a tough sell at an auction fundraiser. In this post, Virginia auctioneer Sherry Truhlar, CMP, BAS gives some pointers on how to sell it. This is Part 1.
“Sherry Truhlar was our keynote speaker at an annual luncheon to celebrate the anniversary of Chi Omega Sorority, of which she is also a member. Sherry spoke to a group of 100 women, whose ages ranged from 19 to 90, and quickly captivated the audience with her entertaining and engaging personality. Her speech was inspiring to the young women who are currently in college and it was encouraging to hear that it is indeed possible to truly follow your dreams. There were smiles on everyone's faces as they listened to Sherry give an example of how an auctioneer calls the bids and participating in a tongue twister exercise. Her participation in our event truly made this year's Eleusinian Tea one of our best ever.” From: Chi Omega Eleusinian Tea (Fort Myer, VA)
