FAQs
What is your process for working with onsite benefit auctioneer inquiries?
When you contact Red Apple Auctions to inquire about our onsite auction services, my team will email you a Weblink that you can use to set up a strategy session with me.
I’ll spend ~45 minutes asking you questions about your past auction so I can determine whether I have a package to fit your needs. For instance, some groups simply need “day of event auction services.” Others want help in maximizing their revenue.
Proposals and agreements are conveniently sent via email so you can share them with your committee.
Once you send me a signed agreement and deposit, I countersign the agreement and return it back to you.
A signed agreement means you have a committed auctioneer for your event. Yippee! And if consulting is part of our agreement, we can schedule our meeting at any time convenient for both of us.
How do you charge for benefit auction services?
Pricing depends on the package selected. It can be influenced by the auctioneer selected, event date, and size of the gala.
We saw Red Apple Auctions perform. We want to book you for our charity auction. When should we call?
As soon as your auction date has been established, call. I cannot book an auction without a date, and I can’t “hold” dates without an agreement and deposit.
If you’ve identified a date (or a few dates), call me to check availability. Then book your venue and call me back.During the busy season, dates are often booked months in advance.
Do you require an agreement?
Yes. In the state of Virginia, it’s required. And whether it’s required elsewhere or not, it’s just a good business practice.
The agreement outlines the services Red Apple Auctions’ provides and lists any obligations for either of us.The agreement itself will be 1 to 5 pages, depending on the package selected.
One point worth noting is that a gala must have a professional sound system. If your group needs help finding the right A/V company, I’m happy to offer suggestions. Some A/V companies prefer smaller galas; others work with large crowds. Some have special equipment designed to work in complex buildings, like museums.
Do you require us to use auction software?
Although there are many reasons as to why you *should* invest in benefit auction software, it is possible to conduct an auction using a manual process. In large part, the size of your gala, will determine this. Here are some benefit auction software vendors.
