Auctioneers & Tag Teams
Some fundraising auctions are so special, they deserve two auctioneers.
If your charity auction is ready for something new, consider making it a double. To the delight of your audience, we’ll pair an entertaining male and female auctioneer to engage in light-hearted banter.
Does it work?
Oooooh yeah, baby.
At a June 2009 auction, our tag team brought in $44 more per item in the silent auction than in 2008. We sold individual live auction items for $9000, despite the record for any previous item in the known history of the event only selling for $6500. And that’s in a “bad” economy with lower attendance. An April 2009 auction experienced similar stunning results.
We’ve got the secret sauce to get that money, and the guests love every minute of spending it. Listen to guests here. We perfected this approach in our nation’s capital … and now we’re taking it on the road to you.
If you want to see a video, call us at 888-474-0838. After a few questions to better understand your unique crowd, you’ll get a video link to watch.
Two auctioneers are most often used in crowds of 600 or more guests, or for smaller events, if those guests are deemed to be big spenders (think galas earning $300k+).
Depending on the number of items and flow of the evening, the auctioneers will work in different ways. Auctioneer Sherry Truhlar works with several award-winning male auctioneers. She has also worked the stage with local celebrities and personalities.
