Floor Crews
Think of our floor team as your personal sales force at your auction.
These personality-plus auction professionals are on the job to stimulate bidding during the silent auction and live auction. Our team enables your volunteers to stop working your event, and start buying merchandise.
In the silent auction
Our crew starts working as soon as your guests arrive.
Give them a focused task to sell your merchandise, and with their outgoing natures, they will quickly finish the job. They manage all of your revenue activities during the silent auction, oversee silent auction tables to draw attention to underbid items, and ensure bidders are respecting the rules when the tables close. Even argumentative bidders exhibit better behavior when an official from our crew oversees the process!
In the live auction
During the live auction, the crew is critical in coaxing the crowd, identifying bidders, and gently encouraging guests to raise their bid.
The floor team identifies bidders with a light wand to ensure the bidder visible to competitive bidders and the auctioneer. They also ensure the bid number is visible to the recorder or clerk.

After the June 2009 gala (which had 1200+ guests), he stopped by to say how impressed he was with the Red Apple floor team and how they interacted with the crowd in the silent and live auction. ______________________________________________________________________________ This auction was virtually standing room only for the 500 people packed into this darkened ballroom. Because the crowd was so compacted, it was hard for bidders to be seen. The Red Apple floor team won accolades for ensuring that those who wanted to be a part of the action, WERE a part of the action.

What does it take to be a part of this dedicated team?
Each individual was selected after an interview process. They’ve not only attended and worked other auctions, but they each participated in a training program.
Perhaps more importantly, each individual is a “people person.” They love their work … and it shows!
To ensure we represent your charity well, our team dresses appropriately. We look professional and wear badges for identification.
